Juan Carlos Rojas Alvarado, Z., BAS, MSc., AAg

Consulting Ruminant Nutritionist, Alberta and Saskatchewan

Juan Rojas was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. Passionate about nature since he was a child, he sought a way to be in contact with the rural environments that Colombia has, thus initiating his contact with farm animals, rural communities and farmers. He attended the Universidad Nacional de Colombia at the animal Science department and received his BSA (‘14) and MSc (’20) in Animal Production. Juan’s area of specialization is ruminant nutrition, focusing on grazing supplementations projects, improving the income over feed cost of beef and dairy cattle producers. Juan joined BeefSmart to form a team with farmers and achieve their objectives, thus improving the profitability of cattle producers in Canada.
